Purpose
As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for translating the product vision and strategy set by the Product Manager into actionable tasks for the development team. You will work closely with the Engineering and Design teams to ensure the product backlog is well-defined, prioritised, and aligned with customer needs and business goals.
The Product Owner will report to the Product Manager.
The key areas of responsibility for the Product Owner include:
- Managing the Product backlog.
- Working closely with the Development team to ensure the Product team's requirements are well-defined and delivered according to expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Product Manager to understand and communicate the product vision, strategy, and objectives to the development team.
- Create and manage the product backlog, detailing user stories, feature requirements, and technical tasks.
- Prioritise the backlog based on business value, technical feasibility, and customer impact.
- Participate in sprint planning meetings and provide clear direction and acceptance criteria for development tasks.
- Work closely with the development team during sprints, answering questions, and providing feedback on progress.
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure deliverables meet the defined acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including Product Managers, Designers, and customers, to gather feedback and refine requirements.
- Continuously monitor the product's performance, gather insights, and suggest improvements for future iterations.
Key Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Previous experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role is advantageous.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and product development processes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interact effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality products.
- Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools.
