The Role
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will be responsible for generating new business and cross-sell opportunities by prospecting and qualifying leads. As the first point of contact for potential clients, you will introduce them to our products and services while collaborating with the sales team to convert leads into customers. This role is ideal for results-driven individuals who enjoy engaging with people and are eager to grow within the tech sales industry. You will identify and generate sales opportunities through outbound calling and outreach. The right candidate thrives under pressure, thinks creatively, initiates engaging and informative two-way conversations with prospects, and is highly self-motivated.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new pipeline through inbound and outbound prospecting.
- Research and identify potential customers within the target market.
- Conduct outbound prospecting via cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other communication channels.
- Qualify leads through effective discovery calls and initial conversations.
- Schedule meetings and product demos for the sales team.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to optimise lead-generation strategies.
- Consistently achieve required sales activity metrics and targets (Dials, Call time, research, emails).
- Identify, engage, and interact with decision-makers at a senior level to identify new and emerging business opportunities.
- Book qualified discovery calls for New Business Representatives and Account Managers.
- Clearly communicate Causeway’s product value propositions to prospects and learn about their needs to see if there’s a good fit.
- Identify prospective customers’ pain points.
- Research and analyze the industry to identify potential customers and opportunities for appropriate sales campaigns.
- Make good use of social media to promote awareness and interest in the products and work with sales and marketing teams to produce campaigns to generate new prospect leads.
- Develop a good understanding of the target market, as well as competitor information and their strengths and weaknesses, segmentation, positioning, C-level contacts, and market developments to maximize opportunities.
- Be familiar with the GTM plans and lead scoring, ensuring timely engagement during the nurturing process.
- Ensure consistent pipeline growth achieved by careful forward planning and consistent implementation and follow-up of campaign calendar.
- Learn about the industry by reading, watching videos, listening to podcasts, and liaising with internal colleagues to prepare for knowledgeable, credible, and transparent conversations with prospective customers in the industry.
- Build effective relationships with new and prospective customers, managing them along the qualification process until it is appropriate to book an appointment.

- Carry out data cleansing activities to provide accurate information and support for marketing campaigns and to increase new business opportunities.
